The Super Eagles of Nigeria have been ranked 51st in the world in the latest FIFA monthly ranking. The ranking was released by FIFA last Thursday and the Super Eagles also dropped to 9th in Africa. Germany, Brazil, and Portugal maintained the top three places in the FIFA rankings. Argentina and Belgium finished the top five and the hosts Russia placed 64th. Slaven Bilic: Nigeria Strongest Team In Group D
Former Croatia and West Ham United coach, Slaven Bilic has hinted that Nigeria is the most difficult team in group D. Bilic said that the fixtures in the group stage of the World cup have not been fair to his country. Croatia will face Nigeria in their first group game of the 2018 world cup before facing Argentina and Iceland. He described the super eagles as the most difficult and bein the first opponent it is going to be tough.
Argentina has a great squad and he would have preferred to play them first. He also revealed that Iceland has a strong winning mentality and they play as if their life depends on it. The Super Eagles of Nigeria and Croatia will clash at Kaliningrad Stadium in Russia on June 16.
