Spanish league leaders, Barcelona draw 1-1 away to city rivals Espanyol on Sunday. The Catalan giants needed a late header from Gerard Pique to earn a point.

Gerard Moreno almost ended Barcelona’s unbeaten run in the La Liga after scoring in the second half. Moreno headed home a superb cross from Sergio Garcia’s cross in the downpour to go in front. It took Barcelona until the 82nd minute to equalize after a Lionel Messi free kick. Valverde’s men now stretch their unbeaten run to 22 games in the la liga.

This is the best unbeaten streak in the history of the club in many years. However, An incredible effort from Angel Correa was enough to see off Valencia 1-0. Athletico Madrid are in second place, nine points behind Barcelona.


Ronaldo Taken Off In Levante 2-2 Draw

Real Madrid failed to pick up all 3 points against Levante and Cristiano Ronaldo was substituted in their 2-2 draw with Levante. Ronaldo was taken off immediately Isco made it 2-1 in the 81st minute. Giampaolo Pazzini struck a late equalizer which Zidane  admitted left him disgusted after the final whistle.

Ronaldo looked furious as he left the pitch for Marco Asensio and hit out the pitch side photographers focusing on him in the dugout. Coach Zinedine Zidane reveals that it is a part of the game plan to substitute Ronaldo. Real Madrid had the game under control until two costly mistakes were made.
